“Shortee’s a DJ I’ve seen that should probably get more respect that she’s been given.

Back before a number of turntablist DJs discovered drum & bass and other forms of dance music, Shortee was regularly mixing in those styles.

She’s fresh on the cuts and on the selection, but for some reason has never gotten the shine that males in her circle have.

Shortee has persevered regardless, and her latest mix for Heavy Artillery shows that she’s still got the electronic scene on her radar, as she runs through a number of genres, from drum & bass and trap to dubstep and electro house, all in 69 minutes, with tight scratching thrown in.
